Public Policy Committee Meeting
The West Coast Chamber serves as the region's advocate for business at the local, state and federal levels, representing the combined strength of our diverse industry sectors. Interested in governmental and political issues? The Public Policy Committee reviews issues of local and regional concern and makes position recommendations to the Board of Directors. Join us monthly for interesting and sometimes lively discussion about the issues that affect you and your business.
Immigration Law & Policy Updates - Over the last three years, Immigration Law & Policy have changed rapidly and, often, with very little warning. The changes have not been positive for those in our community seeking to regularize their immigration status. For many in West Michigan, the current immigration system has had devastating impacts on their lives and their families. Sarah Yore-Van Oosterhout, Founder and Managing Attorney of Lighthouse Immigrant Advocates, will highlight important shifts in Immigration Law & Policy and share how those changes have impacted West Michigan immigrant communities.
