Event Description:


Industry InvestED is a year-long collaborated effort by a group of local educators and small- to mid-sized manufacturers. Their goal is to increase the number of students interested and prepared for a career in manufacturing. Over the next twelve months, Industry Invest(ED) will introduce employers to the many ways they can engage with schools; to future needs expressed by educators; and to training resources available for "upskill-ing" their workforce.

Finding trained, skilled employees continues to be the top barrier to growth expressed by our local manufacturers. At this first Industry InvestED event, Lakeshore Advantage and the Careerline Tech Center will talk about why the education-industry connection is key to solving this ongoing talent challenge. Plus, they'll share ways your organization can help be part of the solution by engaging with local schools and educators.
