Manufacturing Affinity Group: Talent Pipeline 5/23/18

We hope you can join us as Careerline Tech Center (CTC) is opening their doors to show us how students are being prepared for the workforce of the future and how vital business partners are to the education of our students. David Searles, CTC Director, and Shayna Carlson, CTE Work Based Learning Supervisor, will share how Careerline Tech Center is preparing area students with advanced training opportunities to develop the most in demand skill sets.

Offering 28 skilled trade programs, the Tech Center provides training and education in technical skills, soft skills, college credit options, and work based learning opportunities for all students. Discussion will center on those opportunities (non-paid work experiences, co-op and capstone experiences, internships and job shadows); how they give students the foundational knowledge to successfully move from classroom to career, and how businesses contribute to the educational process.
