The Soul of Leadership: A sisterhood fireside chat
According to a Harvard Medical School Study, 96% of senior leaders surveyed admitted to feeling burned out, with a third of those leaders describing their feelings of burnout as extreme. Yet, contemporary culture doesn’t create space for leaders to be transparent, vulnerable, and honest about the invisible price tag of leadership. Shannon Cohen is the founder and principal of Tough Skin, Soft HeartTM. Tough Skin, Soft Heart is a movement designed to help leaders navigate the emotional, mental, and, physical strain that often accompanies a life committed to being a difference-maker. Shannon is renowned for engaging female leaders of color in ‘real talk about the spaces of leadership that are widely felt but often never openly discussed. Tough Skin, Soft Heartbrings to light the issues needs, and struggles that threaten to choke potential, strangulate purpose, wound champions, and injure those serving and leading on the front line.
