Skilled Trades Training Fund & Personal Property Tax Elimination

Beginning October 1, the state of Michigan will again offer $10 million in training grants to companies via the Skilled Trades Training Fund (STTF).  More than $1.3 million in grants were received by companies in Ottawa County during the inaugural STTF grant cycle.  Come learn how your company can participate as this is a first come-first served application process.

Also, with the passing of Proposal 1 on August 5, the state will be eliminating personal property taxes (PPT) for companies.  Learn from Jim McBryde, Vice President and Senior Advisor with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, what your company should be doing now to prepare for PPT elimination.
