Dean Whittaker is President/CEO and founder of Whittaker Associates, Inc., a business-to-business Business Intelligence firm specializing in predicting corporate behavior for corporate, government, real estate owners/agents, and economic development clients. In past lives, Dean has been the Managing Director of the Illinois Office of Industrial Development. He has also served as the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Resources and Applied Research, and the Director of the Indiana Economic Development Academy (both at Ball State University) prior to forming Whittaker Associates, Inc. in 1987.
Dean is a frequent lecturer, teacher, and author on economic trends, technology, and innovation. He is a Certified Economic Developer by the International Economic Development Council. His academic credentials are from Illinois State University and the University of Illinois. His passions include inventing, creating, learning, teaching, and sailing. Dean and his wife Priscilla Atkins live in Holland, Michigan with their two dogs Marcel and Louis.
