In a survey of what employees want most from their leaders, feedback that has an impact, sits right at the top of the list. However, when feedback is provided employees don’t welcome it with open arms. People should feel grateful and energized when given feedback, but mostly they feel hurt, defensive and resentful.
The focus clearly should be on the receivers, not the givers. The real power comes when employees are driving their own learning. This session will provide coaching on how to internalize feedback constructively, how to manage our resistance to it, and how to engage in feedback conversations with inquiry in order to learn from it.
In today’s workplace, feedback plays a crucial role in developing talent, improving morale, aligning teams, solving problems and boosting the bottom line. Feedback is the Breakfast of Champions.
